Another Sunny Day in Seattle?

Hey, what is going on? It isn't even June and we have another sunny warm day! It's in the 80's today. That is unheard of! Well, I got my rocking chair done for the Flea Market tomorrow. So I have two new pieces to show along with my other things. I finished my covers for the table and my display rack and Dan will finish the display rack this evening. Sooo.... I got kind of scared this morning. I went up to the store and drove by the flea market and there were no tents there. I thought oh great.. You sign up for the flea market and the first weekend you can be in it the flea market is not there! On the way home though, someone was setting up a tent so the flea market is on for this weekend! I will have a tent set up at any rate! It may be a very small flea market. Actually, it is just starting up so it is very small anyway, and it really isn't a flea market but more of a craft and antique show... sorta. Anyway, if you are on Whidbey this weekend, come check out the flea market and introduce yourself.
I got kind of spooked yesterday when I was painting. Actually I had something kind of weird happen about a week ago when I was in my studio and it happened again yesterday. That is what spooked me. About a month ago, my husband bought an electronic doorbell for our home. The doorbell that we had did not work right and when I was upstairs I could not hear it. This doorbell has two receivers that my son programmed with a simple doorbell tune. One of the receivers is upstairs in my studio and the other is in the living room. Anyway, I was upstairs working on my painting and suddenly the doorbell rings. I told my husband (who was downstairs) to answer the door. He hollers up at me "why?" I told him that was the doorbell and he says "I didn't hear a doorbell." Now I know I heard a doorbell. It went Bing Bong just like all doorbells do. Only our doorbell is supposed to make a song. It does make a song. This was not our doorbell.... We didn't know what it was but I was a little spooked. Well today it did it again. This time I realized that the sound was coming from my receiver but it wasn't until I went downstairs and started looking for the person who rang the doorbell, that I realized it wasn't our doorbell. I suddenly realized that our receiver upstairs is receiving someone else's signal for their electronic doorbell as well as ours. I am thoroughly delighted that whoever it is has visitors about as often as we do. Anyway, I don't dare move the receiver because if it is downstairs I cannot hear it from upstairs so I will just have to tolerate the minor intrusion from someone else's doorbell. Just one of the quirky things you learn to deal with in an old house.... This one I can live with.
Well, it is getting late and I need some rest. Take care and I'll catch ya tomorrow. Hopefully, I will have good news about selling some stuff. R
